Vizio has announced that its Smart Cast platform will now offer direct access to an official Sling TV application.  Before this, streaming Sling TV using your mobile device to the Smart Cast-activated Vizio TV was workable. But, starting today, you’ll be able to access an integrated Sling TV application with all brand-new Vizio TVs from now on out. 

For those who have an earlier Vizio TV and want to download the Sling TV app, visit the Apps section on the home screen, and download it there. 

For pricing, there are two main Sling TV packages: Sling Orange and Sling Blue (opens in a new tab). Each cost $35 per month; however, they’re made up of two distinct offerings. It’s worthwhile to look through the two packages to determine which one offers the channels you’re looking for or opt for the Sling Orange + Blue package, which combines both packages at $50. 

Presently streaming live television channels and films on streaming services is a common practice. There are many streaming services available which is why Sling TV is among them. Sling TV is among the most effective options to replace cable TV. Today, Sling TV is a preferred choice for cord-cutters. It allows users to stream their preferred television shows and movies across various platforms. 

Sling TV subscription plans: 

1. Sling Orange costs $30 per month. It has around 30 channels. 
2. Sling Blue costs $30 per month. It provides about 50 channels. 
3. The two Sling Orange and Sling Blue contests at $45 per month.

Beyond the three plans above, there is the option of streaming extra channels by purchasing add-ons that range between $5 and $15 per month. 

There isn’t an official Sling TV app on the Vizio Smartcast App store. Therefore, you will need a Sling TV compatible device to enjoy Sling TV video content on Vizio Smart TV. Vizio TVs are equipped with Chromecast support. You can easily project content onto a Vizio Smart TV through the feature. 

How do I activate Sling for Vizio TV? 

The sling TV mobile application supports the Chromecast feature. It is available for download in the appropriate app store. This process is identical for Android or iOS users. If you want to stream your favorite shows via Sling TV, install the Sling application and create an account with sling.com/activate URL. 

1. Power on your Vizio Smart TV. 
2. Stick your Smartphone and Smart TV on the same Wi-Fi network. 
3. Go to the respective app store, download and install the Sling TV application on your Smartphone. 
4. Launch the Sling app on your Vizio TV.
5. You will see an activation code on your Tv screen.
6. Navigate to sling.com/vizio on your web browser.
7. Enter the code from TV screen.
8. Select the subscription package.
9. Press the Continue button.
